How To Walk Gracefully In A Suit of Armour

Everyone knows the Gladiator sandal. Starting off as a true thong sandal and often strappy, this footwear was seen on a list of celebrities. Then after being popularized by Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City movie, the gladiator sandal grew to a new height: the Gladiator heel. A staple item along with a mini, Gwyneth Paltrow still pays homage to the Romans.

Manolo Blahnik took the idea of "tough" footwear and ran with it. For this season's collection he cites the "female warrior" as inspiration. The most obvious representation is the Patoso. Created with metal discs and with fine detail, this stunner is modeled after a full suit of armour. Pick these up for around $1163.
